Bamboo Bernies moves to Maho Beach Resort

After seven wonderful years at the Caravanserai Resort we have decided to move Bamboo Bernies to an all new space located at the sprawling five star Sonesta Maho complex.

We at Bamboo, while sad to leave one of the most beautiful spots in St. Maarten, are extremely excited about our new restaurant and lounge.

Introducing the Buddha Lounge

We will be serving lunch and dinner at Maho and our Buddha Lounge will serve food and drinks into the early hours of the morning.

The Buddha lounge may very well be the only place in St. Maarten where one can relax, chill out and actually have a conversation and hear the other person while conversing.

All new exotic cocktails such as heaven, fire and ice plus an extensive list of sakes will quickly make the Buddha Lounge the place to chill out in St. Maarten.

The all new look is very hot and very exciting. Our world class sushi continues to be prepared by the same master chefs from NYC and LA. Our non-sushi menu has been enhanced with items that non-sushi lovers will truly enjoy.

So the big question, why the move?

And the answer...Development. The property Bamboo Bernies has occupied for years simply has gone up in value as the rest of the waterfront property in St. Maarten has. The Caravanserai is presently developing 200 lovely new rooms on the grounds and the construction has simply taken its toll on us.

Sushi and dust just do not mix. Construction noise and tranquility just do not mix. So, after more than a year of suffering through the construction we have opted to move to an all new facility adjacent to Sopranos at the Sonesta Maho.

Sophie, Sunny and staffers as well as myself, all look forward to seeing you at the all new Bamboo Bernies where we make cocktails like no one else and where we serve awesome NY style sushi with a Caribbean twist.
